Big News! We are officially Maths Champions! 

We are so proud to announce that Co-op Academy Portland has officially achieved the Maths Champion Award! 

At our school, we’re always looking for ways to give our little learners the best possible start. That’s why we took on this year-long, evidence-based programme designed by the NDNA and backed by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).

What does this mean for our students?

This award isn't just a badge on the wall—it’s about levelling up the way we teach! Through this programme:

• Expert Leadership: We’ve empowered a designated "Maths Champion" on our team with specialist coaching and training.

• Proven Success: We use research-backed tools to boost maths skills through play and daily routines.

• Confidence Building: Our staff are more equipped than ever to make numbers, shapes, and patterns fun and accessible for every child.
