📣Today we celebrated this little lot getting their Golden Sashes for a variety of reasons - including learning their phonics, blending new words, working hard and so much more.

📣Mr Leathers was really impressed with all of them today and they are looking forward to going trampling as their reward for being A-MA-ZING! Well done everyone 👏👏👏

This week at Co-op Academy Portland

Careers Fair

📣wow! A huge well done to Co-op Academy Woodslee for putting on an excellent Careers Fayre.

📣#TeamPortland really enjoyed meeting all the different people from so many different types of work.

📣We had doctors, architects, paramedics, people from the food industry, civil and industrial engineers, a pastor from a local church, people who support schools, two ladies from Nuclear Industry and so many other really interesting and inspiring people.

📣A huge thank you for our invitation we really appreciated it. Also thank you to all the people who gave up their time to inspire our children.

🥰Mr Leathers and Mrs Smith were really proud of how they represented Portland.

A World of Wonder in Apple Class

In Apple Class, we're absolutely loving diving into our child-led interests, and what an incredible few days it's been! Our imaginations have soared, transforming us into bug hunters, artists, authors, architects, police officers, and even chefs!

We believe that imagination is a powerful tool for growth and development. So, here's a little challenge for you: take a moment to see the world through the eyes of your child. You might be amazed at what you discover and who you can become!

📣This superstar received the Head Teacher’s reward from Mr Leathers for her fantastic writing!

📣Zoom and have a read - well done it’s fantastic 👏👏👏

A big welcome from Co-op Academy Woodslee to Co-op Academy Rathbone!

Thrilled to have you join the Co-op Academies Trust family. We look forward to achieving great things together!

Stronger Starts

🙂We did so well taking part in the @StrongerStarts and a huge thank you to Tesco’s Debbie Layfield for the £1000 cheque for our Reading Shed - we can't wait for it to be up and running.

🙂Thank you to Miss Lewis for working hard with Debbie to secure this for us. Also to our #PortlandCommunityTeam whomwork so hard to provide all the extras for our children.

Our Summer Fayre is just a couple of weeks away, and we'd be so grateful for your help! Could you donate any prizes for our raffles, bottles for our tombola, or even vouchers from your business? Please let Mrs. Hall or Mrs. Smith know if you're able to contribute. And feel free to share this request with anyone you think might be able to help. Thank you!

Improving attendance is everyone’s business. The barriers to accessing education are wide and complex, both within and beyond the school gates, and are often specific to individual pupils and families. At Co-op Academy Portland, we will do all we can to support your family and ensure our academy is safe, calm and a supportive environment for your child. Let’s celebrate everyone’s success together.
